About Amanda

I came to the field of therapy in midlife, stepping into a path I had long known would be my future.  I have always been drawn to the work of helping individuals navigate their conflicts and explore their inner worlds.

Prior to becoming a therapist, I spent decades in the Bay Area working in roles connected to community resilience, food systems, and education. While all that work aligned with my values, I found the work I loved to be interpersonal and emotional; I found I had love for complex interpersonal dynamics and my greatest desire was to support individual and relational growth with empathy and curiosity. This foundation continues to inform my clinical work.

I earned an MFT from Touro University in 2026. As part of my education, I completed clinical training at Pacific Pride Foundation, where I provided affirming care within LGBTQQ+ communities, and at Keystone Therapy, working with children, individuals, couples, and families in both school-based and clinic settings.

My approach is relational and insight-oriented, grounded in deep respect for each person’s lived experience. This means I respect my clients’ agency, process, and timeline, and approach our work together with curiosity and without judgment. I also hold an abiding interest in existential questions—how we make meaning, face uncertainty, and live authentically—as well as an orientation toward liberation psychology, attending to the ways broader social and cultural systems shape our inner lives. I support clients in exploring patterns, processing emotions, and developing a more compassionate relationship with themselves, so they can engage in their lives and relationships with greater clarity, authenticity, and connection.
